2007 Constitution Classic: Trumbull, Connecticut

Trumbull national was a relatively small race with moto counts at around 85 on Saturday with 20 fewer on Sunday.  The track was a huge contrast to the track in Southpark last weekend.  The track was very smooth, well designed with just one jump that gave some people a little trouble.  Hopefully the low moto count is just a result of the high gas prices and the prior weekends racing in Southpark.  Anyway, after all of that negativity, check out the pictures we took from the fun times in Trumbull, CT.

In other news, there were more Minnesota riders in Connecticut this weekend than Connecticut riders I think (exaggeration).  But just check out the pictures to get the real take on went down.

Elite Open was a class to watch this weekend.  Here we have racing action from Saturday's main event with the OFR ride of Joey "The Bomb" Berthiaume (Minnesota) leading the way.  This one would come right down to the last turn, when in an aggressive move, Delizia made the "bump pass" on Joey, leaving the door wide open for Bizzarro Racing's Allen Currier who would take the win. Great racing!

25-29 Expert ride sporting the old school colors over the second straight dubs.

Benny Wright leading during Saturday's 17-24 Expert main event.
