st. lawrence

What was your biggest win? Either doubling at Christmas in 18-20x or doubling at South Park in 17x

Reflect on your amateur career. Give us some memories, highs and lows? It was so long, I started at 4, so there's been a lot. The biggest thing I can tell the next person coming up is perfect practice makes perfect, and it takes time and dedication to get where you want to be! There's going to be times that are both good and bad and no matter what the outcome, you need to keep pushing through it

What was your biggest challenge in changing from amateur to pro? Riding in a pack and having flawless runs, cause there is no room for error if you want to be successful in pro!

What does your training (lifting/sprints/track time) schedule usually look like on a week to week basis? Gym 4 days, sprints 2 days, basketball 3 days.

Take us through a typical non race day for you. Wake up around 9, go to work all day until around 6-7, then go home and eat, go to the gym, come back and chill out watch TV or play video game

st, lawrence

You had a great weekend at the NBL Grands this year. Take us through the weekend. Well to be honest, I went in thinking I was going to win.......I had went to south park not riding my bike at all and not training and I got a solid 4th behind some really fast guys, but I knew if I was riding and training a little I could def contend with the best, so at Louisville I did just that, I am still a little upset at 4th but I could have been watching from the fence. I went more or less to have fun and give it 110%, I stayed confident and it worked!

After such an awesome ride in Louisville, KT this year at the NBL Grands, are you planning on heading out west to attend the ABA's big show? I don't know what you mean by the big show, but if that means the ABA Grands, you will see me there!

So you have just signed on with Welham bikes for the 2005-2006 season, how did that deal come about? To be honest, it wasn't something I went looking for, I just happened to scroll over the article on bmxmania.com and I was curious of what they had to offer and John Andrews is a great guy and everything just worked out smoothly!

Are you planning on riding any of the ABA's Elite Schedule this year? I don't know how many races I plan on attending but you should see me at some of them.

Are you planning on running the whole Elite schedule this year? I will def be running the NBL Elite series this year in hope to have the skinny digit in September.

Do you have plans to turn to Elite during the 2005-2006 season or are you going to ride the season out in Superclass? Well my plans are to stay in Superclass until the Grands, although I heard some rumors that if you make enough money, you have to turn up, so I guess whatever happens, I'll roll with it!

If you stay in Superclass, do you think you have what it takes to be a contender for the skinny digit at the end of the year? That's a silly question, the question I should ask, is do you think I can get #1, cause that’s my plans.

Thanks for the interview Nick. Is there anybody you would like to thank? I would like to thank my dad for spending a whole hell of a lot of money in the beginning of my journey in this sport because without him I probably wouldn't be here today, I would also like to thank London Wilmot for everything he has done for me, everyone out there who roots me on and gives me ambition to win, and lastly my new TM John Andrews for giving me new opportunity to take my talent to the next level and hopefully do what I set out to do in 06!
