The Freedom National in Woodbridge, Virginia was an awesome event at a great facility.  The volunteers and track workers really know how to keep things together.  The weekend saw moto counts of around 115, with riders from all along the east coast on hand to battle it out.  The track was a relatively simple, three turn, downhill course.  The only jump that seemed to be giving people any trouble over the weekend was the triple heading into the last turn.  The backside was super steep which made it a challenge for all abilities.  Anyways, we managed to come back with a lot of awesome pictures, so feel free to scroll on down and check them out.

The weekend kicked off with Friday afternoon practice on a dusty track.  Here we have Justin Travis showing us how the triple should be done.  This was a clicked x-up.  Bad timing on my part.

Before Saturday's pro open main event, some of the riders were fooling around with different lines through the first berm.  This is what Jason Bennett came up with:  Just wall ride the banners around the entire pack.  Justin Lofredo also nailed this line in his warm up.

Elite Open action from Saturday's main event.  From right to left:  Stileman ride of Justin Travis, Ernest Minor, Supercross ride of Javier, CMR ride of Albright, Lance McGuire, Justin Lofredo, J&R ride of Jason Bennett and in gate eight, another one of the J&R riders.

"Wire to wire" Lance McGuire leading J&R bicycles' Jason Bennett for Saturday's main event.

Elite Women snap for Saturday's main event.  Jill Botchler coming from gate 4 and on her way to an early lead.

Jr. Women getting their snap on.  The SE factory ride got out of there fast.  Too fast for the camera in fact.  Madison Pitts of the Rite Bike Shop would go on to win both Saturday and Sunday's main events.
