The Great Lakes National in Pontiac, Michigan is always a race that boasts, if nothing else, some of the best surroundings a BMXer could ask for. The race track neighbors a water park that many riders take advantage of after the race and is set in a beautiful public park. The track even played host to the worlds in the mid 1990's. The race was unfortunately a little smaller than usual, possibly due to taking place so late in the season. The rain of Saturday kept the dust down, but Sunday's put a bit of a damper on things.
