Well everybody, here it is. For those of you who did not want to take on the NYC traffic, you missed out on a great race. The track and the weather were beautiful. As I eluded to however, I believe the New York City traffic scared many away, so there were only about 90 motos on Saturday and about 80 on Sunday. It was however, all in all a great race. So, scroll on down and check out some of the pictures we grabbed, and as always, be sure to drop us a line if you see somebody who is not named or is named incorrectly. Photo Credit: Richard Sonne.
Before the race, we had a little bit of showing off amongst the older experts and some of the pros. Here we have Steve Oldham, one of the BLTees Superclass riders getting a little too personal with his bike.
One of my favorite shots of the weekend. Nice one hander from Chris Childs on the Twisted Specialized ride.
Here we have Jake Keough of the Bizzarro factory team with a clicked x-up.
Here we have another one from the Twisted Specialized rider. This time with a clicked x-up, also on the next to last straight. This race coverage is being brought to you by: Click on the above logo to find out the best way to improve your first straight.
Here we have Harley Kelley on the National #2 getting some practice in on his home track. Harley is now flying the 747 colors once again.
Here we have first straight action from Saturday's main event. 747's Harley Kelley leading the way.
As always, there was some carnage to be seen in the Elite Open. Here we have CMR Racing's Joey Albright and Brian Iarrochi. These two guys came together and went down on the second straight.
Jill Botchler was out in front all weekend flying the Brew colors in the Elite Womens class.
Jessica Egdorf decided to dust off the bike and the jersey and come down to Long Island and give Jr. Women a try. She won both days. Here she is pulling the One Bicycles ride of Heather Haugh down Shoreham's long first straight.
